Programme Details

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1. Understand the responsibilities compliance to the Occupational Safety and Health

(Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019.

2. Understanding Industry Code of Practice for Management of Occupational Noise

Exposure and Hearing Conservation 2019 which consists of:

a. adverse effects of noise on hearing;

b. purpose and benefits of the Hearing Conservation Program (HCP);

c. the purpose of PHP, the advantages, disadvantages and attenuation of various

types of PHP, and instructions on their selection, fitting, use and care;

d. purpose and procedures of audiometric testing, including pre-test instructions;

e. explanation of the audiometric results and preventive measures;

f. the noise control plan and program at place of work.

3. Noise Control Practicability Assessment (NCPA) based on Guidance on Occupational Noise Control 2024.
