The 4th Industrial Revolution focuses on integrating the cyber and real world to collaboratively works together in order to create a smart environment for manufacturing. Implementations of sensors and data communication protocols play a vital role in creating the cyber-physical system.
Industry 4.0 creates what has been called a "smart factory". Within the modular structured smart factories, cyber-physical systems monitor physical processes, create a virtual copy of the physical world and make decentralized decisions. Over the Internet of Things UI, cyber-physical systems communicate and cooperate with each other and with humans in real time, and via the Internet of Services, both internal and cross-organizational services are offered and used by participants of the value chain.
This programme provides comprehensive overview of the programme which includes the value to the industry and how well is this programme recognized by the industry.
This programme enable the participants to have a good overview of applicable I4.0 real solutions and best practices especially for SME Manufacturing where their needs are not extensive like the MNCs – but the SMEs do not have in house resources & capabilities to run a full I4.0 ideation and implementation by themselves.
The first 3 days focuses on real life applications on the present legacy/brownfield industries (especially SMEs) in Malaysia. Last 2 days focus on Linking Lean & Industry 4.0
