employees. Mass automatic production has resulted in many repetitive work processes. This has resulted in a new area
of concern in the field of occupational safety and health, namely ergonomic hazards. In recent years, there has been
a dramatic increase in the occurrence of cumulative trauma disorders and work related injuries and illnesses.
The purpose of this course is to create awareness on the importance of Ergonomics Risk Factors and the Ergonomic
Risk Assessment in the workplace. Knowingly or not, ergonomics has attained high visibility in our country. Since
ergonomics related injuries are chronic rather than acute in nature, detection of human disorders are only noticed
when the damage is already done. In many case the injuries are irreversible, and as such, the sufferer is permanently
disabled. This has created lower morale among the employees, higher medical costs, and higher turnover.
Ergonomics programme will also to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Legislations namely, Occupational
Safety and Heath (Amendment Act 2022. This course also will help Management and employees carry out their
responsibilities in line with the Legislation
Person undergoing this training is a very valuable tool to help management provide a safe workplace for the
employees and improve the bottom line of any company, large or small. The participants will undergo practical
exercise to familiarise with proper material handling methods. They will also be taught how to change the
conventional way or doing the jobs.
